Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with a TX or compact license and 3+ years of PACU experience for a travel role requiring on-call coverage.

Active TX or compact RN license required; BLS certification required (AHA only); ACLS and PALS preferred; minimum 3 years PACU experience; 2 references; flu vaccination mandatory with no exemptions.

Responsibilities

• PACU care within a hospital setting.
• Maintain patient ratios 1:2.
• 3x12-hour AM shifts per week.
• One weeknight on-call per week (2030-0700).
• 2x24-hour on-call shifts per 6-week cycle.
• Floating and weekend requirements apply.
• Coordinate care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Promote a compassionate, safe, and therapeutic environment.

• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
• 2 professional references required
• Flu vaccination mandatory with no exemptions granted

Responsibilities

• PACU setting within a hospital environment
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 3x12-hour AM shifts per week
• One weeknight on-call shift per week (2030-0700)
• 2x24-hour on-call shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Floating and weekend requirements apply
• Coordinate patient care delivery using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care
• Navy scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective transitions of care
• Promote a compassionate, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
