Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in a hospital setting. Day shifts are 10 hours, four days per week; potential to float to other units within competency. You will perform independent nursing functions, document care per guidelines, and adhere to the health system's mission and values.

MT or compact RN license required; 1 year PACU experience preferred. Background check and drug screening are required; see job ID P-757564 for details.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Montana or compact) required.
• Current BLS certification required, not expiring before start date.
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for unit
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• DOB and last four digits of SSN documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency.
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Perform nursing and delegated medical functions per standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care including health teaching.
• Document care per hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans; refer as needed.
• Promote health system mission, vision and values.

• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for unit or service
• Minimum 1 year of experience in PACU specialty required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Documentation of date of birth and last four digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted nursing practice standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and adhere to service behavior standards
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screening results required, with candidates expected to report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
