Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment in Iowa, requiring an active IA or compact RN license and Epic experience.

You will work 4x10 hour days (7:30 AM–6:00 PM), be on call one night per week and every fifth weekend, and receive travel housing support and benefits.

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility and have one supervisory reference; IL license may be required if not active.

Qualifications

Active IA RN license (compact accepted)
IL RN license required, apply if not active
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
Minimum 1 year PACU RN experience
Epic EMR experience required
One supervisory reference within past 2 years
Valid driver's license required
Not eligible if employed by the facility in past 12 months

Responsibilities

Post Anesthesia Care Unit care in a regional hospital setting
Days shift 4x10 schedule, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
On-call one night per week and every 5th weekend
Weekend on-call coverage for the 5th weekend only
Float within PACU across local campuses
Use Epic EMR system
Interdisciplinary team nursing care (pre- and post-anesthesia)
Work at a Level 3 trauma center
Limited time-off during peak holidays
Residence at least 50 miles from the facility
First-time travelers with PACU experience welcome

Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required in PACU
At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
Epic EMR experience required
One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Valid driver's license required for consideration
Not eligible if employed by the facility within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

Post Anesthesia Care Unit within a regional hospital setting

Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
Limited time-off requests during peak holiday periods (Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's weeks)
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
First-time travelers considered with required prior PACU experience
