Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a Level 1 trauma acute care setting in North Dakota. Requires 2 years PACU experience and pediatric patient experience, with active ND or Compact RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS. Epic EMR experience is mandatory, with call and travel benefits described.

Responsibilities

• Level 1 trauma acute care PACU with 16 bays (Phase I)
• Cares for adult and pediatric post-procedure patients incl ICU/MRI/Oncology/IR
• Nurse to patient ratio 1:1 or 2:1
• Uses Epic charting system, AcuDose medication dispensing, Phillips monitors
• 12-hour day shifts; start times 7:30–9:00 am
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Call 3–5 weeknights and 1–2 weekends every six weeks
• Floating to SMCF PACU and Broadway Day unit with training
• Ceremonial scrubs provided by facility
• Eligibility note: internal candidates require a prior end date

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a Level 1 trauma acute care setting requiring 2 years of recent PACU experience and pediatric patient experience.

Requirements

• Active ND or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA-issued BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience required
• Experience working with pediatric patients required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Critical Care or Intermediate Unit experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently

Responsibilities

• Level 1 trauma acute care hospital setting within a 16-bay Phase I PACU
• Cares for all surgical specialties across adult and pediatric populations, including ICU, MRI, Oncology, and IR patients post-procedure
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:1 or 2:1
• Uses Epic charting system, AcuDose medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors
• 12-hour day shifts with start times ranging from 730-900am
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Call requirements include 3-5 weeknights within a six-week period and 1-2 weekends of call within six weeks
• Floating required to SMCF PACU and Broadway Day unit for phase two patient care, with training provided
• Ceil Blue scrubs provided by facility
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates who have previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission date
• Local candidates accepted, though those living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility are eligible at a reduced local travel rate
