Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a high-acuity, high-volume unit in Lebanon, NH. The role requires recent trauma experience and ICU/PACU proficiency, with D/N rotations and 36 hours per week.

The assignment lasts 13 weeks with an anticipated Oct 12, 2026 start date and lodging and meals stipends included where applicable. You will work in a busy PACU environment handling complex post-surgical cases.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required.
• Previous ICU and/or high acuity PACU experience preferred.
• Familiarity with vasoactive and sedative drip management required.

Responsibilities

• Care for post-surgical patients from a wide range of specialties including vascular, general, thoracic, gynecology, neuro, orthopedic, kidney transplant, and Whipple procedures.
• D/N rotation with start times around 0700–1900.
• High acuity, high-volume PACU environment with evening shift activity.
• Monitor and manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and trachs.
• Administer and monitor vasoactive and sedative drips.
• Board overnight ICU craniotomy, step down, or med-surg patients as needed.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a high-acuity, high-volume unit requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.

Details

• Care for post-surgical patients from a wide range of specialties including vascular, general, thoracic, gynecology, neuro, orthopedic, kidney transplant, and Whipple procedures
• D/N rotation with variable start times of 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, and 1900
• High acuity, high volume PACU environment, particularly busy during evening shifts
• Manage ventricular drains, but no ICP monitoring in PACU (patients requiring ICP monitoring go directly to ICU)
• Utilize arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and trachs
• Administer and monitor vasoactive and sedative drips
• Regularly board overnight ICU craniotomy, step down, or med-surg patients

Requirements
