Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN Circulator for the Operating Room. Must have at least 1 year circulator experience and active TN or compact RN licensure. BLS/ACLS required; PALS preferred. The role includes day shift, on-call rotation, and weekend duties across diverse surgical specialties.

Experience with robotic systems is a plus. Local candidates accepted; no block scheduling requests. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN or compact) is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PALS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN circulator experience is required.
• PACU experience is preferred.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Epic experience within the last 18 months is required.
• Must pass Epic competency exam prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Operate as RN Circulator in the OR across general, ambulatory, and trauma cases.
• Day shift 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM; 5x8 hour schedule.
• Night/weekend call rotation; on-call 1-2 days per week.
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks.
• Use Epic and Allscripts for charting.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Circulator for the Operating Room, requiring at least 1 year of circulator experience and active TN or compact licensure.

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 1 year circulator experience required
• PACU experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic experience within the last 18 months required
• Must pass Epic competency exam prior to starting assignment
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting including general, ambulatory, and trauma OR cases
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
• Night/weekend call rotation with on-call duties 1-2 days per week alongside all circulators
• Weekend requirement of 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks
• Uses Epic and Allscripts charting systems
• Floating expected unless otherwise specified
• Perform circulating RN duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, ENT, and robotics
• Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako preferred
• Familiarity with emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests accommodated
