Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Circulator for the Operating Room in Texas. The role requires 3+ years OR experience and TX licensure. 13-week assignment with a 06:30-15:00 shift and on-call duties, serving as the critical patient safety advocate throughout the surgical process.

Candidates must have Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start and primary source verification. Local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate under radius rules; first-time travelers are

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience.
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Operating room unit supports a wide range of surgical services including general surgery, bariatrics, gynecology, robotics, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and select vascular cases.
• 13-week assignment with a 06:30-15:00 shift schedule.
• On-call obligation required.
• Coordinate patient care throughout the surgical process as the RN Circulator.
• Ensure the operating room is properly prepared with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Verify patient identity and procedure prior to surgery.
• Maintain a safe and sterile operating room environment.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure efficient procedures.
• Monitor patients during surgery and document care accurately.
• Serve as a key patient safety advocate throughout the surgical process.
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rule.
