American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Operating Room Circulator with robotics experience for a hospital in Crestview, FL. The role includes on-call requirements, dayshift 4x10s, and tight call schedules.

You will work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure timely cases. Requirements include an active FL or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years OR Circulator experience with robotics.

Qualifications

• Active FL or compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR Circulator experience.
• Robotics experience required.
• Certifications must not expire within 30 days of start.
• No 90-day gaps in work history in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate in the OR as part of a surgical team with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
• Work days, 4x10s from 6:30a to 5p; on-call 6-8 shifts per month.
• Weeknight on-call 5pm–6:30am; weekend call 24 hours (Sat or Sun 7a–7a).
• Scrub in and assist during surgical cases; manage supplies and timing.
• Communicate with patient families and update physician cards.
• Supervise staff delivering patient care and apply regulatory standards.

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR Circulator experience required
• Robotics experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Operating Room department in a hospital setting
• Days shift, 4x10s, 6:30a-5p
• On-call required 6-8 shifts per month (1-2 per week)
• Weeknight call is 5pm to 6:30am the following morning
• Weekend call is a 24-hour shift, Saturday or Sunday 7a to 7a
• Rotating weekends required
• Serve as a member of the surgical team working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other personnel
• Ensure supplies are available and cases run on time
• Communicate with patient families and update physician preference cards
• Scrub in and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care
• Provide critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning patient care per AORN and regulatory standards
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible if previously worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
