Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic circulating experience and a NJ or compact RN license.

Circulation across orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery is expected; day shifts are 6:30 AM–5:00 PM on 4x10 schedules. Travel-friendly benefits include housing, stipends, and employer reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NJ State or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience required.
• Strong orthopedic surgical experience required.
• Experience with circulating in orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery required.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery cases.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Exposure to a wide range of surgical specialties including thoracic, general surgery, urology, bariatrics, ENT, gynecology, neurology, plastics, podiatry, and robotics.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.
• Responsibilities include circulating across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedics, spine, general surgery, and robotics.
• Must adhere to Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures, infection control, and specimen handling practices.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered.
• Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
