Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse for a 13-week acute care assignment in Nebraska. Active NE or compact RN license required, with a minimum of 3 years circulating OR experience.

The role includes 8-hour day shifts, guaranteed 40 hours, on-call duties, and no floating. Cerner EMR and Onmicell equipment are used; BLS/ACLS/PALS required with NRP preferred. BSN not required.

Qualifications

• Active NE or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA).
• PALS certification required; NRP preferred.
• Minimum 3 years OR nursing experience.
• Pre & Post Op and Circulating experience required.
• C-Section experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• BSN not required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Acute care OR unit with 2 rooms.
• 8-hour day shifts; 40 hours per week guaranteed.
• On-call: at least one weekday and one weekend every 3–4 weeks.
• No floating required.
• Uses Cerner EMR and Onmicell equipment.
• Cases include colonoscopy, EGD, BMT, T&A, arthroplasty, arthroscopy, oral/dentistry, ophthalmic, OB.
• Responsibilities include circulating, admitting/discharging, and post-op recovery.
• On-the-job orientation training provided.

• Responsibilities include OR circulating, admitting and discharging patients, and post-op recovery care
• On-the-job orientation training provided
• Scrubs required as dress code
• COVID vaccine required for all staff, with medical and religious exemptions accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
