American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room role in North Carolina. Requires 3 years of main hospital OR experience and an active NC or Compact RN license.

The position features a day shift, 40 hours per week, 1:1 staffing in a community hospital, and on-call duties including nights and weekends. Meditech charting is used, with a wide range of surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

Community hospital Operating Room setting with 1:1 staffing ratio
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
On-call requirement including nights, weekends, and holidays, typically one night per week
2-3 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
Uses Meditech charting system
Wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, ENT, thoracic, vascular, neurology, and robotics
Responsible for assessing patients upon admission to the OR, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs
Continuously reassesses patients and develops individualized intraoperative nursing care plans
Candidates will be reviewed and interviewed by the hiring manager
No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
RTO must be disclosed at time of submission for consideration (maximum of 5 days, subject to manager approval)
