Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a surgery center with ophthalmology surgery skills. The role includes circulating or scrubbing in multi-specialty cases, with DaVinci Xi and Alcon Centurion system usage, in a 3-OR facility.

Schedule is typically 6:30 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, no weekends, holidays, on-call, or floating. Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; TX nursing license and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the OR
• Ophthalmology (cataract and retina) surgery experience, either circulating or scrubbing, required for consideration
• daVinci Xi robot experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Surgery center setting with 3 ORs and 2 procedure rooms
• True multi-specialty unit covering sports medicine, general surgery, GYN surgery, GI, podiatry, plastics, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and ENT
• Team includes circulating RNs, a CST, and a GI tech
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses standard surgical equipment plus daVinci Xi robot and Alcon Centurion system
• All charting is done on paper, no EMR used
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, typically 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, varying based on case load
• No weekends, holidays, on-call, or floating required
• Scrubs provided
• Circulate and/or scrub for a wide range of multi-specialty surgical cases
• Join a team of OR circulators with 5+ years of experience each
• Facility recently launched a robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery program using the daVinci Xi platform
• Ideal candidates are hardworking, team-oriented, and proactively support colleagues during cases
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call coverage required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
