American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced registered nurse for an Operating Room assignment in Florida. The role requires robotics, orthopedic, and urology experience, plus call coverage. Active Florida RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

You will scrub and circulate, coordinate intraoperative care, and collaborate with the surgical team. Expect 4x10-hour shifts (0630–1700) with on-call duties; travel and housing support available.

Qualifications

• Active FL RN license (or compact) required; no pending licenses.
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR hospital experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA).
• Robotics, orthopedic, and urology experience required.
• Two supervisor references from the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate in the OR for operative procedures.
• 4x10-hour shifts, 0630-1700, with call schedule varying by OR needs.
• Call required 4-5 times per month, including a weekend day.
• 24-hour call shifts with 30-minute callback time.
• Prepare the OR, assemble equipment and implants, maintain aseptic technique.
• Collaborate with the surgical team on intraoperative care plans.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the team.
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in the operating room specialty
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Robotics, orthopedic, and urology surgical experience required
• Experience in other surgical specialties preferred, excluding eyes, hearts, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Responsibilities

• Operating room setting performing scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures
• 4x10-hour shifts, 0630-1700, with varying days off based on OR needs and call schedule
• Call required 4-5 times per month, including at least one weekend day, with 24-hour call shifts from 1700-0630 and a 30-minute callback time
• Day off typically follows a call shift when possible, otherwise determined by departmental need
• Responsible for scrubbing and circulating duties, patient admission to the operative suite, and adherence to aseptic technique standards
• Collaborates with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
• Serves as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the surgical team
• Prepares the operating room, assembles equipment and supplies, and ensures all instruments and implants are functional and available
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
