American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for night shifts. The role requires a PA or compact RN license, EPIC experience and at least 2 years of OR nursing background.

Responsibilities include perioperative care across multiple specialties, night shifts, on-call duties, and occasional holidays. Expect working environment to include robotics and varied surgical cases; knowledge of Universal Protocol and infection control is essential.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Experience with standard OR equipment and protocols (Universal Protocol)

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of surgical specialties in the OR, including general, gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, urology, ENT, thoracic, vascular, bariatrics and robotics
• Work 5x8-hour night shifts from 22:45 to 7:15
• On-call with 30-minute response time
• Weekend and holiday shifts as needed
• Floating as needed and use of EPIC charting system
• Provide perioperative nursing care across diverse surgical procedures, including robotic systems such as Da Vinci Xi

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for a night shift assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license, EPIC experience, and at least 2 years of OR experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA state license or compact) required - no license issues accepted
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and other standard OR equipment
• Familiarity with Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures, specimen handling/labeling, and infection control practices

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting handling a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, urology, vascular, ENT, thoracic, bariatrics, and robotics
• Works 5x8-hour night shifts from 22:45 to 7:15
• On-call responsibilities with a required 30-minute response time
• Weekend and holiday shifts as needed
• Floating as needed
• Utilizes EPIC charting system
• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurologic, urologic, ENT, thoracic, and robotic procedures
• May include exposure to robotic surgery systems such as the Da Vinci Xi
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• May care for COVID-19 positive patients
• Expected to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day); if contract spans only 2 holidays, 1 is required
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius may be considered local and offered a different pay rate
• Travel pairs may apply, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
