Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 16-week contract in Illinois. The ideal candidate has travel nursing experience and Epic proficiency, with an active IL RN license and BLS certification.

Requirements include at least 2 years of OR experience (4+ preferred), a minimum of one completed travel assignment, and 2 professional references (one from the most recent travel assignment). DOB is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Operate in an Operating Room setting within a hospital
• 10-hour day shifts (6:45a-5:15p), 40 hours/week
• 16-week contract assignment
• On-call rotation evenings, overnights and weekends
• Perform all-around scrub duties in the operating room
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate within 50 miles
• RTO limited to 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Brief interview as part of the hiring process

• Weekend coverage required for call only
• Floating unlikely
• On-call rotation required covering evenings, overnights, and weekends
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 holidays during the contract
• Perform all-around scrub duties in the operating room
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Local radius of 50 miles
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Facility conducts a brief interview as part of the hiring process
