Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Mother Baby/Postpartum unit in South Carolina. The assignment is 13 weeks, night shift, 40 hours per week, with every-other-weekend coverage and possible travel to a nearby facility.

The role requires an active SC license, BLS, NRP, and at least 1 year of mother-baby couplet experience. BSN is preferred. Cerner EMR is used for charting, and call duties may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NRP certification required (WIC RNs must attain within 6 months of hire)
• Minimum 1 year of Mother Baby couplet care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing required
• BSN preferred, highly desired

Responsibilities

• Nursing postpartum unit with couplet care for mothers and newborns
• 13-week assignment on night shift
• Working every other weekend with holidays as needed
• Floating to sister facility nearby as needed
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting
• May be required to take call based on department needs
• Provide nursing care following South Carolina Nurse Practice Act standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Frequent interaction with patients, families, physicians, and visitors
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting/moving patients up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to blood and infectious materials
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from start date
