American Traveler is seeking an experienced Transplant RN for a day-shift Med/Surg/Transplant role in California. Requires CA RN license, BLS, and EPIC Phoenix outpatient experience. Involves coordinating transplant patient care, discharge planning, and cross-team liaison.

Position offers weekday schedules (8:00 AM–3:30 PM), housing and licensure reimbursements, and travel benefits. Local candidates within 50 miles eligible at local rate; returning travelers require 1-year separation.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required

• Cardiology assessment and EKG interpretation experience preferred
• 2 supervisor references within past year

Responsibilities

• Coordinates inpatient and outpatient care for transplant patients

• Carries out physician-directed patient care orders
• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 5x8-hour days, 8:00–15:30

• Supports patient admissions, discharges and clinic coverage

Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Transplant RN for a day-shift Med/Surg/Transplant role requiring EPIC Phoenix outpatient experience and a CA RN license.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Outpatient experience using EPIC Phoenix required
• Experience with cardiology assessment, EKG/ECG interpretation, medication reconciliation, and vital sign monitoring preferred
• Must provide 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates

Responsibilities

• Coordinates inpatient and outpatient care for transplant patients, including record review, medication refills, prior authorizations, and follow-up on test/procedure/lab results
• Acts as liaison between administrative staff, clinical teams, and physicians across the transplant department and related departments
• Assists with discharge planning, patient education, and hospital floor or clinic support as needed
• Carries out physician-directed patient care orders in accordance with hospital policy
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM–3:30 PM), with no weekends or holidays required
• Uses EPIC Phoenix EMR, with strict requirement for prior outpatient EPIC experience
• Provides direct patient care and support for transplant patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Assists with patient admissions, discharges, and physician/patient support on hospital floors and in clinic
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• All compliance documentation due 10 days prior to start date
