American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a day shift acute care position in Fort Bragg, CA. You will operate in a Med/Surg acute unit, using EPIC EMR, delivering coordinated care to a defined patient group and supervising nursing staff.

Requirements include CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, EPIC EMR, and a minimum of 2 years in acute care with recent experience; BSN preferred. This role offers a coastal community setting with generous benefits and travel-related perks.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS).
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of specialty Med/Surg experience with recent work within last 3 months.
• BSN and acute care facility experience preferred.
• No prior license disciplinary actions permitted.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg acute unit within a critical access hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 0700-1930, up to 36 hours per week.
• Uses EPIC EMR system.
• Delivers coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient group, supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
• Provides patient and family education throughout the care process.
• Located in a small coastal community offering access to redwood forests, beaches, and outdoor recreation.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined.
• No radius rule applies; local candidates are paid the same rate as travelers.
• All required vaccinations are mandatory as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
