Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift in NM. The ideal candidate has at least two years of RN experience, an active NM or Compact license, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

You will care for adult and geriatric med/surg telemetry patients on a 15-bed unit, with a 5:1 patient ratio, night hours 7P-7A, and weekend requirements. Travel and licensure reimbursements and housing support are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum of two years RN experience
• Must be able to care for surgical patients.
• Stepdown unit experience and ability to read/interpret telemetry strips preferred.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit on the 2nd floor with 15 beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population, mostly geriatric and surgical patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Night shift, 7P-7A, with a minimum of 4 weekend hours per month and every other weekend required
• Uses GE equipment and Medhost EHR
• No on-call requirements
• Rare floating to other units may be required
• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric med/surg telemetry patients in a team-oriented environment with limited resources
• Must have a great attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Travelers cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
