Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift telemetry unit in Iowa. Requires 1 year of RN experience and an IA or Compact license with BLS; ACLS may be needed depending on unit needs.

The role involves caring for post-procedural, cath lab, and ER overflow patients on a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM schedule. Housing allowances and travel/licensure reimbursements are included where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active RN license IA or Compact (state-specific)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification may be required depending on unit needs
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Responsibilities

• Work on a 9 South Telemetry unit
• Care for post-procedural patients staying 1-3 nights after surgery
• Also cares for cath lab patients and occasional ER overflow
• Night shift schedule 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Unit is not open on Saturdays or Sundays
• Holidays assessed individually based on surgical volume and may require working
• Provide telemetry-based nursing care to post-surgical, cath lab, and overflow patients
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies for most Trinity Health locations
• Local candidates accepted only in select states with facility-specific exceptions
