Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg RN for night shifts with telemetry experience and at least one year of acute care. The role supports a 32-bed Med/Surg unit (4EC) with remote telemetry monitoring and uses Cerner EMR.

The ideal candidate will hold an active IN or compact RN license and a BLS certification; ACLS is preferred and NIHSS certification is required. BSN is not required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg unit (4EC) with remote telemetry monitoring, 32 beds
• Telemetry monitored 24/7 but only applied to patients as ordered
• Patient population includes COPD, cellulitis, GI bleed, alcohol intoxication, CHF, hospitalist patients, stable strokes, TIA, and BiPAP patients
• Manages Heparin IV drips; no cardiac drips administered on this unit
• Schedule consists of 3x12 hour night shifts
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Care for medical-surgical patients with remote telemetry needs who do not require a cardiac floor
• Cancellation policy allows up to 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
