Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a 13-week travel Med/Surg Telemetry position at a 137-bed acute care hospital in North Carolina. Requires NC or Compact RN licensure and 1–2 years of RN experience. Night shifts (7P–7A) with every-other weekend, on-call duties, and floating; Cerner EMR experience preferred. Housing and licensure reimbursements offered.

Responsibilities

• Cerner EMR usage on unit
• Facility is a Joint Commission accredited Primary Stroke Center

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care hospital, requiring NC or compact RN licensure and 1-2 years of experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIHSS
• 1-2 years of RN experience required
• AHA certifications required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

Responsibilities

• 13-week travel assignment on the Med/Surg 232 unit
• 24-bed Medical/Surgical-Telemetry unit
• Serves patients of all ages
• Night shift schedule (7P-7A)
• Every other weekend work required, with additional weekends as needed
• On-call duties as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 137-bed acute care hospital that is Joint Commission accredited as a Primary Stroke Center
• Hospital offers cardiology, ortho, ophthalmology, general surgery, OBGYN, ED, gastro, hospitalist, nephrology, hematology, urology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care services
• Facility includes a Level 2 Nursery
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
