Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in North Carolina. Requires Active NC/compact RN license, 2+ years RN experience, telemetry monitoring, and EPIC EMR proficiency.

The role includes 3x12 night shifts, every other weekend/holiday, 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio, and ability to float between Cone Health campuses. Onboarding includes a compliance EKG exam; travel housing and licensure support provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or compact)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Epic EMR experience
• Telemetry/remote monitoring experience
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Pass a compliance EKG exam on onboarding

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit with primarily Med/Surg patient population
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Must float to all Cone Health campuses as needed for patient care
• Uses Epic EMR
• Care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Skills may include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, chest tube care, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, wound care, and insulin protocols
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
