Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a day-shift hospital assignment in Montana. An active RN license (MT or Compact) and prior travel nursing experience are required.

The 13-week contract runs 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) with weekend coverage as needed. You will provide IV therapy, wound care, and post-op management for neuro, ortho, and general Med/Surg patients, with no float unless agreed. Housing support and travel/licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MT or Compact) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience required; strong neuro/ortho background valued.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
• References required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surg care in a hospital unit.
• Day shift schedule 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (3x12 hours) with some weekends/holidays.
• 13-week contract with no float to affiliates unless offered.
• Administer IV therapy, blood products, PICC line management, and wound care.
• Care for neuro, psychiatric, and orthopedic patients including CVA and post-neurosurgery.
• Administer medications including Heparin, Insulin, and PCA; monitor cardiac status.
• Participate in Rapid Response/Code team; provide comprehensive care in MS/Tele/resp/ortho.
• Manage surgical drains, nerve block catheters, and total joint replacement patients.
• Oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management as needed.
• Live within 75 miles of the facility; license/background checks on case-by-case basis.

• Candidates must live within 75 miles of the facility with no local rule accepted
• Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before eligibility
• License or background check hits considered on a case-by-case basis
