Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby/Labor & Delivery travel assignment on the night shift. The role requires couplet care and delivery support skills in a 12-bed MB unit within an OB/GYN department of an acute care hospital.

Requirements include an active NC or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP, and a minimum of 2 years of experience with couplet care and delivery support. PACU prep for c-sections is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate on a 12-bed Mother Baby unit within OB/GYN in an acute care hospital
• Staff 8 post partum beds with neonate and adult patients
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:3 couplets
• Care for antepartum, postpartum, vaginal and c-section patients
• Utilize Paragon EHR for documentation
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Work every other weekend; no on-call or floating requirements
• Be a team player with flexible approach; scrub color accepted

• Must be able to attend deliveries, catch and recover newborns
• Experience with post c-section patient care required
• PACU or prepping experience for c-sections preferred

Responsibilities

• 12-bed Mother Baby unit within the OB/GYN department of an acute care hospital
• 8 post partum beds with neonate and adult patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:3 couplets
• Common diagnoses include antepartum and postpartum complications, vaginal delivery, and c-section delivery
• Uses Paragon EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend, possibly less
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Provide nursing care across antepartum, postpartum, vaginal delivery, and c-section cases
• Team player with a flexible approach is preferred
• Any scrub color accepted, with OR scrubs available
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel assignment
• Prior permanent staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not permitted
• Must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
