Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift in a short-term acute care hospital in Medford, OR. The role requires at least 2 years of L&D experience, active RN license (compact at submission), BLS and NRP certifications, and AWHONN Intermediate certification (Advanced and STABLE preferred).

You will circulate for C-sections and manage fetal monitoring using Epic EMR. The schedule is 3x12-hour nights (19:00–07:00) with on-call for low census, every other weekend,

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required; AWHONN Advanced and STABLE preferred.
• Experience with postpartum care, fetal monitoring, and sterile vaginal exams.
• Experience circulating for C-sections and obstetric triage.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit duties in a short-term acute care hospital.
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
• Floats between units based on facility needs.
• On-call for low census situations.
• Every other weekend required.
• Follow AWHONN patient ratio standards.
• Use Epic for charting.
• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum nursing care.
• Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Follow baby-friendly protocols and perform wound assessment/care as needed.
• May float between sister facilities near the contracted location.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required; AWHONN Advanced and STABLE preferred
• Skilled in postpartum care, labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, and sterile vaginal exams
• Experience circulating for C-sections and triaging obstetrical patients
• Experience with external and internal fetal monitoring, including spiral electrode placement preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Scrubs provided for Maternal Child unit staff; any color accepted for RN/Allied roles
• No parking fees at this facility
