Job summary
American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for Labor & Delivery in Lexington, KY. The role requires KY or compact licensure and BLS, ACLS, NRP, plus dysrhythmia certifications. Night shifts are 3x12s, totaling 36 hours per week for a 13-week assignment.
Expect direct patient care around childbirth, assessments, care planning, and coordination of admissions and discharges with education for patients and families.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact).
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and life-threatening dysrhythmia certifications are required.
- ADN or ASN is required; BSN preferred.

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatments within scope of practice.
- Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education.

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a high-risk unit, requiring KY or compact RN licensure and BLS certification.
- Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit with 17 private suites, 5 triage/PACU beds, 4 ORs, an OB ED, and a specialized antepartum unit for high-risk and postpartum care
- Night shift, 3x12s (7p-7a)
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Life-Threatening Dysrhythmia certifications required
- ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
- No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience preferred
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
- Provide direct patient care for patients before, during, and after childbirth
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatments within scope of practice
- Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
- Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
- Promote a positive, healing environment through collaboration with the care team
