Job summary
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery role in South Carolina. You will manage admissions, discharges, and transfers on the L&D unit, including vaginal and C-section deliveries, with 3 years of L&D experience and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.
The position requires active SCRN license, BSN is desirable, and certifications such as BLS/ACLS/NRP/CPI are required. Night shifts (3x12 hours) are typical for this assignment.
Qualifications

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D experience and AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification.
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes females of childbearing age, from 17 weeks gestation through delivery
- Handles admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and both vaginal and C-section deliveries
- Performs scheduled procedures including C-sections, external cephalic versions, and occasional cerclage
- Manages triage issues on the unit
- Uses Fetal Monitors for patient monitoring
- Charts using Cerner and Fetalink documentation systems
- Night shift schedule with 3x 12-hour shifts per week
- Active SC or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- BSN highly desired
- Minimum 3 years of L&D experience required
- Minimum 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the specialty area required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- AHA-issued certifications only
- Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered
