Job summary
American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Statesboro, GA. You will work days, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with every-other-weekend shifts and 36 hours per week. Two years of L&D experience and two prior travel assignments are required.
Active GA RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP certs, and EMR experience (CPN GE, Cerner) are preferred. Navy blue scrubs are requested. Compensation aligns with travel pay structures.

- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- 2+ previously completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery.
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; certifications must not expire within first 30 days.

- Monitor laboring patients and communicate plans with providers.
- Circulate for vaginal deliveries; assist with cesarean deliveries as needed.
- Attend deliveries to support newborn resuscitation and post-delivery care.

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and 2+ completed travel assignments in the specialty.
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of the Women's Pavilion, a 13-bed unit with 8 LDRs and 5 triage beds
- Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM with EOW (every other weekend) requirement
- Floating required between departments within the Women's Pavilion
- Call requirement of two 12-hour call shifts every 6 weeks, with one required to be a weekend shift
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 per AWHONN Staffing Standards
- EMR systems used: CPN (GE) and Cerner
- Care provided across antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
- Triage responsibilities for patients 20 weeks gestation and up
- Active GA or compact RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
- Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
- 2+ previously completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery required
- CPN and Cerner EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Monitor and assist laboring patients while communicating with providers regarding plan of care
- Circulate for vaginal deliveries with circulating for cesarean deliveries preferred
- Attend deliveries to support newborn resuscitation and recover vaginal and cesarean delivery patients
- Provide care to antepartum patients requiring care in the L&D unit
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care
- Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction to assigned personnel as needed
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend requirements are met
- Minimal RTO accommodated, limited to requests of less than 1 week, contingent on meeting weekend requirements
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
