Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with at least 2 years of L&D experience and NRP certification for a rotating shift assignment in Minnesota. This travel position requires active Minnesota RN licensure, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certification, with AWHONN Advanced preferred.

Responsibilities include care across L&D, LDRP, and Mother/Baby units, a 1:5 patient ratio, rotating 12-hour shifts, and weekend coverage. Housing and travel reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license in hand or proof of Minnesota license application required at submission.
• BLS and NRP certification required.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required; AWHONN Advanced preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Charting system experience required.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit providing care across L&D, LDRP, and Mother/Baby settings.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Rotating 12-hour shifts (0645-1915 days / 1900-0700 nights).
• Every third weekend required.
• Floating expected to cover patient safety sitter or nursing assistant roles without taking a patient assignment.
• Administers medications including Magnesium Sulfate therapy and Pitocin (oxytocin).
• Performs antepartum care and procedures and triage of obstetrical patients.
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility.
• Must complete required lab work within 48 hours of signing the contract.
• Must complete Livescan fingerprinting in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, per Minnesota state requirement.
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler.
• Local candidates within 25 miles of the facility are not accepted.
