Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for Labor and Delivery in Minnesota. Requires a MN RN license (active or pending), 2 years of high‑risk obstetric experience, and BLS/NRP. The role includes night shifts (3x12 hours) and every other weekend, with floating to nearby facilities as needed.

Preferred are AWHONN Intermediate and FHM certifications, plus Epic/Excellian charting experience. A supervisor reference is required; travel terms include housing support and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license or pending license.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate and FHM certifications preferred.
• 2 years of recent RN experience in a high‑risk obstetric setting.
• Experience with antepartum care, labor and delivery management, and obstetric triage.
• Circulating and scrubbing for C-sections.
• Epic/Excellian charting experience may be required.
• 1 supervisor reference required.

Responsibilities

• Nurse on a hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit.
• Night shift: 3x12‑hour shifts from 19:00–07:30.
• Every other weekend required.
• Float within scope to hospital or nearby affiliates as needed.
• No on-call requirement.
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum management and obstetrical triage.
• Care for high‑risk obstetric patients at a large facility.
• First-time travelers considered only with solid experience at a large facility with high‑risk patients.
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility unless applying for a radiology position.
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during assignment.
• Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment for at least 3 months prior to starting as a traveler.
• Minnesota state fingerprinting may apply; LiveScan location travel may be required.
• Pre-start modules averaging 8 hours to complete.

• Experience with antepartum care, labor and delivery management, and triage of obstetrical patients required

• Documentation required for consideration includes date of birth, SSN, and copy of certifications
