Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP role with 2+ years of L&D, postpartum and nursery experience. Active RN license (Compact or TN) and certifications including BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP are required, along with Epic EMR experience.

The position offers a travel nursing opportunity at a facility with less than 100 births per month, requiring night hours and floating to Antepartum/NICU/Postpartum as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact or TN) required.
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, and NRP.
• Epic EMR experience within the last 18 months and documented on profile.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit within an LDRP care model including Antepartum, Postpartum, Mother/Baby and Level I Nursery.
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend requirement.
• Float coverage to Antepartum, NICU, and Postpartum/Nursery as needed.
• Patient ratio of 1:2 and care for high-risk and routine deliveries.
• Provide neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation.
• Support breastfeeding and discharge teaching for new parents.
• Manage postpartum complications and use EFM/ IUPC for monitoring.

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP role requiring at least 2 years of L&D, postpartum, and nursery experience along with AWHONN and NRP certification.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or TN) required
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, and NRP
• Epic EMR experience required within the last 18 months and must be documented on profile
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, fetal monitoring (external and internal), amnioinfusion, and assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries
• Experience administering medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Manage postpartum complications such as hemorrhage and pregnancy‑induced hypertension
• Utilize EFM and IUPC for fetal monitoring and assessment
• Local candidates and first‑time travelers accepted at the same pay rate
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean‑shaven
