Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with NJ or compact licensure and NRP certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

The unit has 7 rooms, typically 3-4 patients per nurse, with a 1:2 patient ratio. Expect 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00am-7:30pm), every other weekend, and potential float to Mother/Baby and Nursery units. Epic is used for charting; first-time travelers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience scrubbing and circulating for C-sections required
• Experience with fetal monitoring, high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit with 7 rooms averaging 3-4 patients daily
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00am-7:30pm
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• May float within scope to Mother/Baby and Nursery units, including serving as baby catcher
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system
• One summer holiday, one winter eve, and one winter night shift assigned based on need
• Scrubs are provided
• Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
