Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in New Jersey with high-risk pregnancy experience and an active NJ (or compact) RN license. BLS/ACLS certs required, and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is essential.

The role is in a large hospital setting, focusing on high-risk obstetric care. Shifts are 12 hours (7a-7p), with 36 hours weekly, and no on-call duties. Local candidates only; Epic EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital settings required.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Delivery Room unit of a large hospital facility.
• High-risk labor and delivery patient population with high patient census.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• AM shift schedule, 7a-7p, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week).
• No on-call responsibilities.
• May float to a sister hospital nearby.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric.
• Deliver direct patient care and demonstrate competency with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient progress.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques.
• Provide patient and family education, including pre-operative and post-operative instruction as applicable.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional, courteous interactions with patients and families.
• Accepts local candidates.
• No approved RTO during the assignment.
