Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery assignment in Pennsylvania. Candidates must have an active PA or compact RN license, a BSN, and at least 2 years of L&D experience.

Certifications required: NRP, ACLS, BLS; AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required, Advanced preferred. Night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3x12s, high-acuity teaching hospital, 200-300+ births per month, epic charting.

Qualifications

• Active PA license or compact license.
• BSN required.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required.
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with high-risk antepartum, delivery, and C-section care.
• Fetal monitoring experience including IUPC placement.
• Experience with L&D medications like Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate.
• PA fingerprints and Childline clearance within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit setting.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Patient ratio of 1-2.
• No floating required.
• Weekend coverage every third weekend (Fri/Sat nights).
• Holiday coverage for at least one major holiday.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Manage high-acuity, high-volume deliveries in a teaching hospital.
• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk unit.
• Assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries and C-section recovery.
• Oversee antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care including monitoring and meds.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a PA or compact RN license, BSN, and at least 2 years of L&D experience.

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Certifications required: NRP, ACLS, and BLS
• AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred due to high acuity and fast pace of the unit
• Experience with high-risk antepartum, high-risk delivery, C-section circulation, and hemorrhage/shock management
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement
• Experience with Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and other L&D medication administration
• PA fingerprints and Childline clearance required within 12 months of start
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

• Manage antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care including fetal monitoring and medication administration
• Scrubs are provided
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius or accept local rate differential if closer
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no additional time off accepted after submission
• Pass/Fail clinical exam required prior to clearance, with a maximum of 3 attempts
