Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Georgia, requiring GA or compact licensure and 18 months of L&D experience. Night shifts are 3x12s (36 hours weekly).

The assignment includes floating to Perry Hospital as needed and a nurse manager interview as part of the process. Travel staffing benefits include housing allowance, travel reimbursements, and non-taxed per diem; interview and clearance requirements must be met before start.

Qualifications

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand.
• Minimum 18 months of Labor & Delivery experience.
• BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required to start.
• Fetal Monitoring certification required to start.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• IV insertion skills required.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting.
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Required to float to other departments and facilities, including Perry Hospital, based on department needs.
• Interview process includes a nurse manager interview.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Former Emory or Houston Perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility.
• RTO requests not falling on or near a holiday are limited to a maximum of 5 days.
• RTO requests falling on or near a holiday are limited to a maximum of 3 days.
• Only one holiday RTO request is allowed per assignment.
