Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in California. The role requires Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification and EPIC experience, with CA RN license active.

Responsibilities include care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods on a night shift (1900-0730, 36 hours/week) in a Level III NICU setting, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Travel-friendly with housing allowance and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or AWHONN certification required.
• Minimum two years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• No prior disciplinary action on nursing license permitted.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit within a 162-bed acute care facility featuring a Level III NICU and county-designated trauma center.
• Care provided across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations and circulating for C-Sections.
• Night shift, 1900-0730, 36 hours per week
• Schedule is based on unit need with no block scheduling
• EPIC experience required
• Performs physical and psychosocial assessments considering age, cultural differences, and support for fetal demise
• Initiates multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Manages perinatal emergencies including crash C-section, precipitous delivery, and shoulder dystocia
• Assesses fetal and maternal well-being, amniotic fluid status, and vaginal bleeding, recognizing and managing abnormalities
• Manages labor pain control, including alternative pain control methods and epidural catheter placement support
• Educates patients and families throughout all stages of the perinatal period
• No radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
