Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Texas. The role requires 3 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification, plus NRP, BLS, and ACLS.

Active TX or compact RN license and US residency are required; salary and shifts align with 12-hour, 3-day-a-week rotation. RTO disclosure is requested.

Qualifications

• Active Texas or compact RN license required; no pending licenses.
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• BSN highly desired.
• NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required.
• 3 years of L&D experience required.
• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the specialty area required.
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer.
• US SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week on a rotating schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
• Patient population includes females of childbearing age, pregnant from 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, and those undergoing scheduled procedures such as C-sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage.
• Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op care, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section).
• Uses Fetal Monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation systems.
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted.
• RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration.
