Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Texas. Requires 2+ years of L&D nursing, an active TX license, ACLS, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications, plus Epic EMR experience in a teaching hospital setting.

Responsibilities include intrapartum and postpartum care, fetal monitoring, medication administration, and assisting with deliveries. On-call, weekends/holidays, travel housing, and licensure reimbursements provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) and NRP certifications required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting.
• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care areas.
• Perform fetal monitoring and administer medications (e.g., Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antihypertensives).
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries; scrub/circulate as needed.
• Maintain Epic EMR documentation and participate in on-call and holiday coverage.

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with 2+ years of experience and required ACLS, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications for a 13-week assignment.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills in labor and delivery management, high-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulating/scrubbing, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:0 AM to 7:30 PM
• Variable scheduling may be required, including weekends and holidays
• On-call requirement of one shift per pay period
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care areas
• Responsibilities include fetal monitoring, medication administration (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antihypertensives), and assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Scrubs provided
• Holiday coverage required during assigned holiday season
• RTO requests limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during Nov-Jan
• Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at the local rate
