Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery with AWHONN Intermediate and CO/compact license requirements. A minimum of 2 years in Labor & Delivery, plus AHA BLS/ACLS/NRP, AWHONN FM, and Epic charting, is required.

OB triage, high-risk OB, and OR circulator experience are essential. The role covers a fast-paced unit with 150 births per month, 14 beds, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, night shifts (3x12), on-call obligations, and travel-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, Colorado or compact, required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced not accepted in place of Intermediate)
• AWHONN FM course required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with OB triage, high-risk OB, and managing laboring patients required
• Experience circulating in the OR and placing internal monitors required

Responsibilities

• Fast-paced Women's and Infants Labor & Delivery unit averaging 150 births per month
• 14 total staffed beds with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1745-0615), various days of week
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• On-call required per unit needs
• Uses Epic for charting
• Scrub color is navy
• Manages laboring and high-risk OB patients, OB triage, and circulates in the OR
• Places internal fetal monitors
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose prior employment details
• Candidates who applied to UCHealth's internal travel jobs or perm staff within the last two years will not be considered
• Travelers who completed a full year on assignment in the OR will not be rebooked for at least one year
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during high-census times
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
