Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night assignment in Texas. The role requires AWHONN fetal monitoring certification and NRP, plus an active Texas RN license.

You will work in a busy 18-bed L&D unit with 1:1 patient care for specified cases, night shift 7 PM–7 AM, and potential float to Mother Baby as needed.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required (Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM)
• Current NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Labor management experience required
• Experience circulating a cesarean section required
• Experience with vaginal delivery, C-sections, triage, and iron infusions
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Work in an 18-bed Labor & Delivery unit with a team of 54 staff
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 1:1 patient ratios for Pitocin, C-section delivery, and recovery patients
• Care for 2-3 antepartum patients per assignment
• Follows AWHONN guidelines for care standards
• Uses GE fetal monitoring equipment
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• On-call requirement of 1-2 shifts per schedule
• May float to Mother Baby unit when needed as a resource
• Provide direct patient care for laboring, C-section, and antepartum patients
• Join a collaborative team culture focused on positive patient outcomes
• Candidates must demonstrate a team-oriented, compassionate approach to patient care
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
