Responsibilities

• Work on a 13-week night shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) on a Labor & Delivery unit
• Staff a 325-bed acute care facility’s L&D unit with 100–200 births per month
• Circulating and recovering for C-sections; manage labor/delivery care
• Float between similar units and to nearby sister facilities as needed
• Adhere to Epic charting and complete documentation accurately
• Travel-friendly environment; first-time travelers welcome to apply
• Must coordinate and honor holiday commitments (3 of 5 major holidays)
• Submit upfront RTO requests; no post-offer changes accepted

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Skills in Labor and Delivery Management, circulating and recovering C-sections required
• IV start skills required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
• Labor & Delivery unit supporting 100-200 facility births per month
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required between similar units within skill set and potentially to sister facilities nearby
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Covers ongoing unit leaves of absence
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract but may be considered at a local rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside the 50-mile radius
• Only one submission to a Providence facility is permitted at a time
