Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery assignment in Washington. Requires 2 years of L&D/LDRP experience and WA or compact RN license. Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, with 1:1 to 1:3 staffing.

Provides obstetric care, postpartum and newborn services, including high-risk support. The position offers travel-friendly benefits, housing allowance, licensure reimbursements, and comprehensive health coverage from day one.

Qualifications

• Active WA state or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP, L&D, PP, and Newborn care required.
• Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP.
• ACLS preferred.
• Experience with high-risk antepartum and high-risk L&D care required.
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit with Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care.
• Facility averages 200-300 births per month.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30.
• Staffing ratio of 1:1 to 1:3.
• Performs vaginal and cesarean deliveries, circulates in OR, and starts adult IVs.
• Administers blood and blood products, manages drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps.
• Administers insulin and Magnesium Sulfate therapy.
• Uses IUPC placement and calibration for fetal monitoring.
• Epic EMR used; floating between facilities as needed.
• Care for Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn patients.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and triage obstetrical patients.
• Provide pain assessment and management, including IV PCA.
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.

• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months and reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including location and dates
• Travel experience is not required, making this role suitable for first-time travelers
