American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment in California. Requires CA licensure, 1 year of L&D experience, and Epic proficiency. Night shifts are 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with weekend requirements and floating as needed.

The facility handles a high-volume obstetric service with over 300 births per month and a variety of high-risk obstetric care. Travelers may require staying in housing provided and will be reimbursed travel and licensure costs.

Qualificações

• Active CA RN license required at submission.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood products, and venous draws.
• Labor/delivery management including amnioinfusion, high-risk and vaginal deliveries, and C-sections circulating.
• Antepartum, high-risk antepartum and postpartum care experience.
• Fetal monitoring: external and internal, IUPC placement/calibration.
• Medication administration including Pitocin, MgSO4, and antihypertensives.
• Newborn care including APGAR scoring, newborn assessment, and cord care.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year in last 3 years.

Responsabilidades

• Labor and Delivery unit care for high-risk OB patients.
• Cares for a high-volume facility (over 300 births per month).
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections and provide perioperative support.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours (6:00 PM–6:00 AM).
• Weekend shifts and floating to meet staffing needs; existing travelers float first.
• Work with Epic EMR and support antepartum, postpartum, and couplet care.
• May travel between sister facilities within the state as needed.
• Commit to 3 of 5 major holidays; RTO limited to 7 days upfront.
• First-time travelers welcome; local candidates may have lower bill rate.
• Reside >50 miles from facility to qualify for travel rate.

• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood and blood product administration, and venous blood draws
• Experience with labor and delivery management including amnioinfusion, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, and circulating for C-sections
• Experience with antepartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care
• Experience with fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement/calibration
• Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, and antihypertensives
• Experience with newborn care including APGAR scoring, newborn assessment, and cord care
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting caring for a high-risk OB, culturally diverse patient population
• Facility performs over 300 births per month
• 11 rooms/15 beds with average daily census of 15-20
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
• Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs
• Floating required to meet facility needs, with travelers floating first within their scope
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care within a high-risk OB unit
• Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries and circulate for cesarean sections
• Support antepartum and postpartum patients including couplet care and multiple births
• Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
