Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a high-risk unit with 12 L&D rooms, 6 OB triage rooms, and 2 ORs. The role requires 2+ years of L&D experience and ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP certifications, with an MO or Compact RN license.

Night shift is 19:00–07:00 on a 3x12 schedule, with every third weekend and three 12-hour call shifts per period. Teaching hospital setting with diverse, high-acuity obstetric patients and on-site MFM attendings.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• High-risk L&D experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• High-Risk Labor & Delivery Unit with 12 private labor/delivery rooms, 6 dedicated OB triage rooms, and 2 cesarean section ORs.
• Works closely with High-Risk Antepartum and Antepartum Units located on the same floor.
• Postpartum and recovery care provided on a separate unit, allowing L&D to focus on acute obstetric and surgical patients.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00).
• Required to work every third weekend.
• Call required: three 12-hour call shifts per scheduling period.
• Typical patient ratio of 1:2.
• Teaching hospital with on-site MFM attendings, fellows, and an OB/GYN residency program.
• Care for a diverse, high-acuity obstetric population including high-risk antepartum, high-risk delivery, and surgical patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, residents, and learners in an academic environment.
• Dedicated social work services support patients and families with complex needs.
• Scrubs provided.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Must shave to ensure proper mask seal for OSHA Fit Testing; no medical or religious exemptions accepted.
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted for this position.
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler and must take a 6-month break before returning.
