American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment in the United States. Candidates must have 2+ years L&D experience, a TN or Compact RN license, and certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate.

The role includes night shifts (3x12s), potential weekend coverage, charge responsibilities, and required EPIC EMR proficiency. Strong neonatal and antepartum skills are essential, with travel nursing experience preferred.

Competenze

• Active RN license (TN or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years L&D experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong skills in fetal monitoring, emergency obstetric care

Mansioni

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Care for term labor, antepartum surveillance, newborn care, gyn med/surg (post-op hysterectomy, mastectomy), and overflow female non-infectious medical patients
• Triage assessments, inductions, cesareans, external versions, NSTs, circumcisions, newborn resuscitation/stabilization, and Mag Sulfate administration
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to unit needs
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating to other units required based on demonstrated skill set and competencies
• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
• Support high-risk deliveries, C-section recovery, and newborn stabilization
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antihypertensives, and antiseizure drugs
• Perform newborn care tasks including circumcision assistance, cord care, and discharge teaching
• Provide lactation and breastfeeding support to postpartum patients
• Utilize fetal monitoring equipment including external and internal fetal monitors and IUPC placement
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience, AWHONN Intermediate certification, and a TN or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Beginner certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, administration of blood products, cardiac monitoring, and emergency care
• Experience with high-risk and vaginal delivery, C-section circulation, and hemorrhage/shock management
• Experience with neonatal care including APGAR scoring, resuscitation, and thermoregulation
• Experience with antepartum care including NSTs, sterile vaginal exams, and obstetrical triage
• Experience caring for patients with conditions such as diabetes, pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and substance abuse
