Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Colorado. This 13-week travel assignment requires an active CO or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification. Meditech experience and postpartum background are preferred.

The role involves caring for high-acuity L&D patients on a night shift (7P-7A) with 1:1 to 1:2 ratios and 3:1 postpartum ratios, in a 14-LDRP, 2-OR unit. Requires 50-mile relocation eligibility.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year current hospital L&D RN experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• NRP certification (Advanced 9th Edition) required.
• Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit with 14 LDRPs and 2 ORs, staffed by ~60 team members.
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for L&D and 3:1 for postpartum, per AWHONN guidelines.
• Unit performs versions, C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&Cs.
• Uses Beacon fetal monitoring equipment.
• Charts in Meditech/CPN EMR.
• Night shift schedule, 7P-7A.
• 13-week assignment.
• Provide direct patient care in high-acuity Labor & Delivery setting including deliveries, C-sections, and related procedures.
• Work alongside a team including charge RNs, L&D RNs, and postpartum RNs on each shift.
• Unit values adaptable, flexible, and low-drama team members.
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered.
