Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift at a short-term acute care hospital in Medford, Oregon. The role requires 2+ years in Labor and Delivery and active RN license, with BLS and NRP certifications. Epic EMR experience is required.

You will work 3x12-hour nights, float between units, and participate in on-call rotations and holiday coverage. Travel housing and licensing reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Preferred AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, STABLE
• Epic EMR experience
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• LDRP and Level I Nursery work settings
• AWHONN patient ratios followed
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Float between units based on need, and may float to sister facilities nearby
• On-call required for low census situations only
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring and antepartum/postpartum management
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of specialty experience and AWHONN patient ratio adherence.

Requirements

• Active compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Labor and Delivery specialty required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, STABLE
• Skills required: postpartum care and procedures, labor and delivery management, circulating for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, antepartum care, triage of obstetrical patients, use of external fetal monitoring (EFM), recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Preferred skills: baby friendly protocols, wound assessment/care, use of internal fetal monitoring, spiral electrode placement
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• RTO requests should be minimal and submitted upfront, as additional time off may delay the offer process
