American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 20-bed unit in Missouri. The role requires 2+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency. Night shifts are 19:00–07:00, with every third weekend and possible floating as a sitter.

Qualifications

• Active MO or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP.
• Epic charting system experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for a 20-bed LDRP unit with 10 labor beds, 8 mother/baby overflow beds, and 2 triage beds.
• Provide care for antepartum, labor, mother/baby, and newborn patients across the full perinatal continuum.
• Manage high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and preterm labor.
• Perform newborn care duties including APGAR scoring, newborn assessment, and discharge teaching.
• Attend to postpartum care including hemorrhage management and breastfeeding support.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00, with every third weekend.
• May float as a sitter when needed.
• Must be available for Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 20-bed LDRP unit requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, STABLE
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in antepartum, LDRP, and mother/baby care
• Experience with high-risk delivery, C-section circulation, and vaginal delivery assistance preferred

Responsibilities

• 20-bed LDRP unit with 10 labor beds, 8 mother/baby overflow beds, and 2 triage beds
• Level II Special Care Nursery delivering infants at 32 weeks gestation and greater
• Facility averages 100-200 births per month
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• Scheduled every third weekend
• May be required to float as a sitter when needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Care for antepartum, labor, mother/baby, and newborn patients across the full perinatal continuum
• Perform newborn care duties including APGAR scoring, newborn assessment, and discharge teaching
• Manage high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and preterm labor
• Provide postpartum care including hemorrhage management and breastfeeding support
• Scrubs are provided
• Must be available to work either Christmas Day or New Year's Eve
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted for this position
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler and must take a 6-month break before returning
