Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Greensboro, NC. Requires 2+ years of experience and AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate certifications.

The role involves night shifts (3x12), patient load of 1:5, and responsibilities across antepartum, labor, and postpartum care, with potential cross-campus floating within the health system.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Required certifications: AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP, and BLS.
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and AWHONN Advanced.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit located in the Women & Children's Center.
• Care for pregnant and up to 6-week postpartum patients.
• Perform triage and labor checks.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holiday coverage as needed.
• Floating to any campus within the health system may be required.
• Manage labor and delivery care including vaginal and high-risk deliveries, hemorrhage/shock situations, and amnioinfusion.
• Provide antepartum care including NSTs, OCTs, and fetal monitoring (external and internal)
• Provide postpartum care including fundus, lochia, and perineum assessment, and care for cesarean section and hemorrhage patients.
• Administer medications such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives as needed.
• Support newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and neonatal resuscitation.
• Experience caring for patients with pre-eclampsia, HELLP, placenta previa, and substance abuse is valued.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted within this radius.
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted.

• Education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
